Family life can be complicated when there are previous  marriages, stepchildren, biological children or children from previous relationships all competing for a sense of belonging, coherence and identity. At Cairnmillar, the priority is to ensure that the issues of each individual is heard, and that conflict can be resolved without anger, withdrawing, or running away.
